If you ride and you don't wear one, it's just a mater if time until you won't have to.
I was one of you. I didn't think I needed it. I didn't want the hassle or restrictions that came with wearing a helmet. I wanted to feel the air.
Then I met a guy who eventually became a good friend and he taught me the importance of wearing not just a helmet, but proper gear in general. Gloves, spine protector, jacket, even the right shoes.
I think about it almost every day, and glad I listened because I would not be here typing this today.
I had a crash. A bad one. One in which my Ducati 748s exploded. And one in which my own insurance company bought my helment for their "Helmet safety gallery" because it had embedded stones all up and down the left side.
